Beginning on September 1, 2021 penalties and interest will be reinstated on property tax and water and sewer accounts in Clearview Township.
In March 2020, Clearview Council voted to waive penalties and interest on tax and water and sewer accounts to help residents deal with the financial burden of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Property tax and water and sewer accounts can be accessed and paid online at www.clearview.ca/pay-register-apply/online-payments. Payments can also be made via the drop box at the front entrance of the Administration Centre, by mail or in person at the Administration Centre Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Making an appointment using the staff directory, www.clearview.ca/staff-directory is strongly encouraged as some staff are working remotely.
Recognizing the financial hardship that some property owners are still experiencing, Clearview Council approved a 2021 Property Tax/Water Penalty Deferral Program available for eligible property owners. To find out more about the program or to apply please visit, www.clearview.ca/2021-deferral-program, the deadline to apply is August 31, 2021.
