The Study
The Township of Clearview is completing an Addendum to the East Creemore Drainage Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) (Schedule B). The original MCEA drainage study was completed in July 2010 to identify solutions to improve drainage and reduce flooding in the Village of Creemore. Under the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process, a review of the planning, design and environmental setting of a project is required if the time period from filing the Notice of Completion on public record exceeds 10 years before the alternative solution is implemented. The East Creemore Drainage Study Addendum will review the drainage options proposed in the original study and consider any necessary updates to the drainage solution based on changes in the study area since the 2010 study was completed, such as land use, development, and the impacts of climate change. The Addendum Study is carried out according to the guidelines set out in the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Class Environmental Assessment document (March 2023).
