The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) launched a national strike on September 25, 2025. We are advising residents that the Canada Post strike will impact Township mailed services, such as receiving water and sewer (utility) bills by mail, planning application notices, or other mailed services. Failure to receive bills via regular mail does not absolve the responsibility to remit payment by the due date.
If you are unsure of the balance on your account, please contact Utility Billing Services at utilities@clearview.ca or 705-428-6230 x 239.
Below are options to consider during the Canada Post strike:
Payment & billing options during a strike
- Pre-Authorized payment plan
- Online banking
- At your financial institution
- In-person at the Administration Centre during regular business hours
- Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Notices for Planning Applications during a strike
Notices for Planning Act applications, such as consents and minor variances, are normally sent to neighbouring properties by regular mail. In the event of a postal strike, these notices will be posted on the Township of Clearview website.
