Clearview Township is proud to announce the launch of the Climate Action Recognition Program, celebrating individuals, businesses, and students who are making a positive impact on the environment and leading the way in climate action within our community.
The program will recognize outstanding contributions in three categories:
- Citizen – Recognizing residents who demonstrate exceptional commitment to environmental stewardship and climate action through their personal initiatives and community involvement.
- Business/Organization – Honouring local businesses, organizations or non-profits that have implemented innovative sustainability practices and made measurable environmental improvements.
- Student – Celebrating young leaders who are inspiring environmental change through projects, advocacy, or educational initiatives.
How to Nominate
Community members are invited to submit nominations for deserving candidates in any of the three categories. Nominations can be made for yourself or others who have demonstrated exceptional environmental leadership through initiatives such as:
- Reducing greenhouse gas emissions
- Promoting renewable energy
- Implementing waste reduction and recycling programs
- Protecting natural habitats and biodiversity
- Educating others about climate action
- Developing innovative sustainability solutions
Nomination deadline: December 31, 2025
Recipients will be honoured at a recognition ceremony on Earth Day, April 22, 2026, where they will receive a public acknowledgment of their environmental contributions.
