The Clearview Public Library is overjoyed to announce that the new Stayner Branch will soon be an award-winning building. The branch is set to receive the Ontario Library Association’s (OLA) 2021 Library Architectural and Design Transformation Award at the July 14th virtual Annual Institute on the Library as Place.

Clearview Public Library CEO Jennifer La Chapelle envisioned a modern library that creates a sense of wonderment while also feeling like home, “The Clearview Public Library Board and the Township of Clearview recognized the need for a modern and expanded facility for the Stayner Branch, and with the architectural firm of Lebel & Bouliane, created an impressive and welcoming space that will serve our community for many years to come.” Said Library CEO, Jennifer La Chapelle.

The Library Architectural and Design Transformation Award is awarded by The Ontario Library Association and given to libraries for additions, renovations, restorations, conversions and interior redesign and refurnishing. Designed by Luc Bouliane from Lebel & Bouliane, the Stayner Branch opened in 2020 with limited public use so far due to COVID-19 public health regulations.

Jennifer is grateful for the award and looks forward to allowing the public to experience its wonders in person, “on behalf of the Board and Township I would like to congratulate all those involved in this project's development and realization and look forward to seeing our residents come back into our award-winning building!”
