The 2021-2025 South Georgian Bay and Springwater Community Safety and Well Being Plan was presented to and approved by Clearview Council on May 31, 2021.

Clearview Township, the Town of Collingwood, the Township of Springwater, and the Town of Wasaga Beach partnered to create the multi-sectoral plan which outlines three areas of focus, mental health and addictions, housing, and access to services. Community Safety and Well Being plans are required by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services under the Safer Ontario Act, 2018.

Beyond the legislative requirements, the Community Safety and Well Being Plan is a shared commitment from local government, police, and community partners across different sectors to work together to improve social conditions and enhance safety and well-being for all residents by tackling tough social issues and addressing their root causes.

“On behalf of the members of Council and the residents of Clearview Township, I am pleased that our Community Safety & Well Being Plan has been adopted. I am also pleased that our neighbouring municipalities participated to create a regional community safety plan that will serve to enhance the experience of living in South Georgian Bay”, said Mayor Measures.
