From Sunday, October 4 to Saturday, October 10, during Fire Prevention Week 2026, Clearview Fire and Emergency Services will conduct their annual Alarms for Life Campaign.
This year’s Fire Prevention Week theme, “Charge into Fire Safety™: Safe Charging Is a Superpower,” focuses on the everyday charging habits that can help reduce the risk of lithium-ion battery fires and keep homes and communities safer.
Uniformed Clearview Firefighters will be going door-to-door in certain areas to speak with residents about smoke and carbon monoxide alarm requirements and lithium-ion battery safety. Residents will also be offered a voluntary inspection of in-home alarm systems as a bonus if they would like.
After prevention, maintaining working smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms in your home and outside all sleeping areas is one of the best ways to ensure fire safety at home and keep your loved ones and valued possessions safe.
