Clearview Township is currently seeking four (4) seasonal part-time (up to 24 hours per week) General Help positions for the period of approximately September 21, 2026, to April 30, 2027. This is a unionized position within the CUPE Bargaining Unit.
The location of work varies based on the needs of the Township; however, the Seasonal General Help may be assigned to work at the Creemore and Stayner Arenas. The Creemore Arena is located at 220 Collingwood Street, Creemore, and the Stayner Arena is located at 269 Regina Street, Stayner.

Key Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Supervisor of Maintenance, Parks and Recreation, the Seasonal General Help are responsible for performing a variety of duties to ensure the tidiness and cleanliness of recreation facilities and community spaces, ensuring they are all kept in a high standard of operation. Duties include regularly cleaning arena change rooms, washrooms, lobby areas, community halls, meeting rooms, kitchens, and performing other duties as assigned. The Seasonal General Help is also responsible for providing excellent customer service to the general public and patrons by answering questions and assisting with inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Age requirement is 15 years of age at the time of hire.
- Must have a reliable source of transportation to and from work.
- Ability to be available to work weekday evenings and anytime on weekends.
- Must be physically fit with physical strength and ability sufficient to meet job requirements.
- Demonstrated effective communication and customer service skills, with experience working with the public is preferred.
- Knowledge of arena operations is an asset.
Note: The preferred candidate must be willing to provide consent for the Township to conduct a Vulnerable Sector Check prior to finalizing an employment offer.
Wage Rate:
Currently: $21.76 per hour (2026), plus 4% vacation pay.
