Cleanout of the Stormwater Management Pond on Spruce Street in Stayner will begin on Wednesday, July 29th.
The project was delayed a month due to wildlife in the pond area to minimize disturbance and ensure their proper protection. The area will be isolated, and turtle nest protectors will be installed before construction.
The work is being conducted by Vasq Ltd., who have been contracted by Clearview, and will include removal of accumulated sediment from the pond, spillway repairs, grading, landscaping, and re-vegetation.
For public safety, no access to the pond will be permitted. All walking pathways and access from backyard gate entrances will be closed to the public for the duration of construction.
Weather permitting, the work is anticipated to be completed by the end of August 2026. For more information about Stormwater ponds, please visit www.clearview.ca/stormwater.
