I, Mayor Douglas Measures, of the Township of Clearview, do hereby proclaim May 17th – 23rd, as “VON WEEK”
WHEREAS; The Victorian Order of Nurses for Canada is a charitable community-based health care organization that has addressed community health and social needs for 129 years; and
WHEREAS; VON Simcoe County nurses, home support workers, community service coordinators and many other staff and volunteers have been caring for the lives and well-being of the residents of Clearview Township since 1990; and VON’s nursing, health promotion and support services are making a huge contribution to the health care system in Ontario; and
THEREFORE, I, Mayor Douglas Measures, on behalf of Clearview Township, do hereby proclaim the week of May 17th – 23rd, 2026, as “VON Week” here in Clearview Township, by lighting up the exterior of the Clearview Administration Centre in blue. I encourage all the residents of Clearview Township to support VON and our community by sharing positive virtual messages and by supporting VON Simcoe County’s charitable programs.
