History
West Nottawasaga Presbyterian Church, better known as West Church, was organized in the year 1853 as a congregation, although service was held before that time. The land was donated June 19, 1855, by the late Alexander Campbell and his wife to Archibald McMurchy, John McQueen and John McKee, the trustees for a church, manse and burying ground for said congregation. On June 21, 1872, Archibald McDermid and his wife donated an additional piece of land for a burying ground.
