Building and By-law Services Public Portal Help

1. From the Portal Home page, click on the Register link.
2. Enter your email address, create a password and re-enter to confirm.
3. Click Next Step and complete the remaining contact information fields.
4. Once you complete these steps, you will receive an email to confirm your account. Click on the link in the email to validate your account.
5. Your account registration is now complete.

There are a couple of things to check:

• You should receive an email within 15 minutes of registering.  However, sometimes emails can be delayed for reasons out of our control. Give it a couple more minutes.
• Check your junk folders as sometimes emails may end up there.
• Did you spell your email address correctly? If you are not sure, you could try registering again with the same email address.  If we already have that email on file you will see a message indicating “An account already exists for this username.”
• If you are still not able to access your account please contact us and provide your email address so we can activate your account for you:

From the Sign In

1. Click the Forgot Password
2. Enter the email address for your account.
3. Click the Reset Password
4. You will receive an email with a link to change your password.

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Click on My Items
3. Each section expands by clicking on the title, or to see all your items, click on the Expand All

1. Sign in to your account and click on My Items
2. Find the item and click on it to open it.
3. Scroll down to the Upload Additional Documents section.
4. Click the Browse... button and select the file you wish to upload.
5. Fill in the short description field and click Upload Document

You can upload documents and photos that have the following extensions DOC, DOCX (Word) XLS,  XLSX (Excel), PDF (Adobe Acrobat), JPG, PNG, TIF (photo or image). Documents with other extensions will not be uploaded. Documents and photos must be under 50MB in size.
