Are you on the list to vote for the upcoming municipal election?
New for 2026, Elections Ontario is providing the voters list for municipalities. You can check, update or add your information to the voters list for the Municipal and School Board Election by visiting registertovoteon.ca
Remember, a person is entitled to vote in a Municipal and School Board Election if, on voting day, they:
- Reside in the local municipality, or are the owner or tenant of land in the municipality, or the spouse of such owner or tenant; and
- Are a Canadian citizen;
- Are at least 18 years old; and,
- Are not prohibited from voting under the Municipal Elections Act or otherwise prohibited by law.

May 28, MMAH Candidate & Third-Party Advertiser Session

This free session presented by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing will provide attendees with an overview of the Municipal Elections Act, campaign rules and election finances, third-party advertising rules, key dates and roles/responsibilities.

Election Voting Dates and Locations
For the 2026 Election, electors can vote conveniently by internet or telephone during the advance voting period from October 12th at 10:00 am to October 26th up until 8:00 p.m. Voter Information Letters will be sent to all eligible electors on the Voter's List prior to the open of the advance voting period.
Election Services Centres:
Election Services Centres will host access to the internet through voting Kiosk stations using an iPad or tablet device. As well, electors can add their name to the Voter's List or amend their information if they haven't received their Voter Information Letter. Election Team Members will be available to provide assistance where required.

Dates: Tuesday, October 13, 2026 to Friday, October 23, 2026 (excluding weekends)
