Recognizing the financial hardship that some property owners are experiencing due to COVID-19 pandemic, Clearview Township Council has approved a 2021 Property Tax/Water Penalty Deferral Program. This program is available for residents and businesses.
In 2020 and most of 2021, Council decided to waive all penalties and interest on tax and utilities for residents and businesses.
As of September 1, 2021, all regular property tax and water billings and collections will resume to the normal schedule, including late payment charges. If eligible residents or business property owners experiencing financial hardship need more time to pay their property/utility bills, they can apply to the penalty deferral program to have interest waived to December 31, 2021.
To qualify for the deferral, you must also pay taxes directly to the Township of Clearview and not through your mortgage company.
If you’re enrolled in the Pre-authorized Payment Plan, your account will be removed, and you will have to submit a new application to re-enroll for 2022. Financial institutions can not apply.
Eligible property owners must apply for the deferral between July 15, 2021 – August 31, 2021.
