Notice – Spruce Street Stormwater Pond Cleanout Delayed for Wildlife Protection

Cleanout of the Stormwater Management Pond on Spruce Street in Stayner, originally scheduled to begin this week, has been delayed for approximately four weeks. 

The delay is necessary to protect local wildlife. A pair of Canada geese has established a nest with eggs near the work area, and a turtle has laid eggs along one of the site paths. Work will resume once it is safe to continue without disturbing the wildlife.  

Further notice will be issued when the project is ready to proceed.
