All properties that receive water from the Township of Clearview’s municipal drinking water systems are subject to Water Conservation measures under the Safe Water Supply By-Law #26-08.
During the period from May 1st to September 30th each year, the external use of municipal water is permitted:
- On even calendar dates at only those municipal addresses ending with numbers 0, 2, 4, 6, 8;
- On odd calendar dates at only those municipal addresses ending with numbers 1, 3, 5, 7, 9.
Furthermore, the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to place further watering and water use restrictions where it is deemed necessary.
The Director of Public Works is authorized to shut off the supply of water to any Premises, upon reasonable notice to the Owners and Occupants, where the Owners or Occupants of the Premises do not adhere to the watering and water use restriction issued for the area, and that the Water may be reconnected where the Director or By-law Enforcement Officer is satisfied that the Owners or Occupants will begin to adhere to the restriction. If reconnection is completed, a fee shall apply as indicated under the Safe Water Supply By-Law #26-08, Schedule A – Part I Provincial Offences Act Fines.
