Notice – Help Prevent Sewage Back-up and Clogged Pipes by Thinking Before you Flush

Date Published:
March 24 2020

Clearview Township Water & Sewer would like to remind residents to please think before you flush. Only human waste and toilet paper should be flushed down the toilet. This helps to keep sewer pipes running freely and to reduce problems at your local wastewater treatment plant.

A toilet is not a garbage can. Things like wipes (even flushable ones), fats, oils, grease, food scraps and paper towel can cause sewage pipes to clog and raw sewage to back up into property owners’ homes.

Please don’t use your toilets and sinks as garbage cans. Properly dispose of items once you are done using them. Please refer to the attached brochure for more information, including correct disposal methods for commonly flushed items.
