The Township of Clearview has completed an Addendum to the Community of Creemore, Clearview Township Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Schedule B) Project File Report for Works Undertaken Within a Watercourse for the Purpose of Flood Control, herein referenced as the East Creemore Drainage Study (ECDS). The original ECDS was completed in July 2010 to identify solutions to improve drainage and reduce flooding in the Village of Creemore. A review of the drainage options proposed in the original 2010 ECDS has been completed and updated as necessary based on the current planning, design, and environmental context of the study area, including mitigation measures.
The Process
The Study was conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process (Municipal Engineers Association, March 2024) which is an approved process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. Under the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process, a review of the planning, design, and environmental setting of a project is required if the time period from filing the Notice of Completion on public record exceeds ten years before the solution is implemented
