Notice – Clearview Advises Residents not to use Playground Equipment amid COVID-19 Pandemic

Date Published:
March 24 2020

Clearview Township continues to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic by taking direction from the County of Simcoe and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit regarding best practices to ensure the health and safety of our employees and community.

As a result, effective today, Clearview is advising members of the public to not use any public playground equipment. This equipment cannot be properly sanitized and therefore carries a risk of transmission. Signs will be installed at all parks with playgrounds.

The parks and fields will remain open for public use; however, residents are reminded to practice social distancing and to follow the Health Units hygiene advice to reduce transmission of the virus. For a full list of the Health Unit’s recommendations please visit www.simcoemuskokahealth.org/Promos/Novel-Coronavirus.

As the COVID-19 Pandemic continues all further service delivery announcements will be communicated through the township website, www.clearview.ca and on Twitter, @Clearview_twp. Subscribe to notifications on the Township’s homepage to stay up to date as more information becomes available.
