Notice - Building Permit Fees Public Meeting December 12th

Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Clearview will hold a public meeting on the 12th day of December 2022 at 6:30 p.m., to consider amending the Building Permit Fee By-law under Section 7 of the Building Code Act. The purpose of this notice is to invite you to engage in the public process if you wish.

Public Meeting Information

When: Monday, December 12, 2022, at 6:30 pm
Where: 217 Gideon Street, Stayner

You may participate in-person in the Council Chambers or provide written submissions at https://www.clearview.ca/government-committees/council/electronic-public-participation by Friday, December 9th, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. which will be summarized at the meeting.

Members of the public are advised to monitor the Township website as any changes in COVID-19 Protocols may impact how members of the public are able to participate in the public meeting.

Purpose and Effect:

The Township of Clearview is proposing to adopt (amend) the Building Permit Fee By-law following a review of the building permit fees under Section 7(b) of the Building Code Act.

The effect will be to not increase the Building Permit fees by the annual indexing as set out in the by-law for the year 2023. No other changes to the existing fee by-law are proposed. Information will be provided at the meeting on the proposed revisions and the rationale for not increasing the building permit fees for the year 2023.

Any Person may participate in-person at the Council meeting or make written submissions either in support of or in opposition to the proposed change.

Please be advised that your comment or request to be notified will form part of the public record; your communication and any personal information therein will be made available to the public (i.e., e-mail address), unless you expressly request its removal.
