News Release - Clearview Youth Centre to Reopen October 14th

Date Published:
October 6 2020

The Clearview Youth Centre will reopen to Clearview youth on Wednesday, October 14th, 2020. The Centre has undergone some changes while closed and has implemented safety procedures and guidelines as required by the province and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.

The Youth Centre’s capacity, facility cleaning procedures, programming and weekly schedule have been altered to meet the guidelines established by the province for community centres, daycares and summer camps.

Both staff and youth are required to wear face coverings at all times, sanitize their hands before entering, leave contact information for contact tracing and will be screened for symptoms of COVID-19 before being allowed entry. Once inside youth will be assigned to one of two spaces, each with a dedicated bathroom, where they will physically distance from one another for the duration of their visit.

We ask for your patience and compassion as we work within the necessary safety guidelines to minimize the risk of COVID-19. For those not comfortable with attending the Youth Centre the Fall Activity kits will continue to be offered for October, November and December.

The centre will reopen three nights a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 6:00 PM with a maximum capacity of eight youth. The Youth Centre looks forward to safely serving our community’s youth in-person once again. For more information see the Re-opening plan available at
