To help stop the spread of COVID-19, the Clearview Youth Centre closed its doors on March 16th. In the true spirit of the Youth Centre, however, they are looking on the bright side of things.
With the closure of the centre mandated as part of the provincial emergency orders, the Youth Centre will be clearing out their cupboards on May 5th to help feed the citizens of Clearview by donating unused food to the Clearview Stayner Food Bank.
As champions in our community for positivity and inclusivity, its important that a good example is set for Clearview Youth. “There have been many changes for our Youth with this pandemic and though we’re not able to welcome them into the centre, we’d like to encourage them to look towards the positive whenever possible,” said Youth Centre Coordinator Courtney Rogers.
For more information on the Clearview Stayner Food Bank, or to donate, please visit their profile on the 211 Ontario directory, https://211ontario.ca/24223-0_clearview-ministerial-association-clearview-stayner-food-bank-stayner.
When it is deemed safe to do so the Youth Centre looks forward to opening its doors to Clearview’s youth once again.
