The Clearview Public Library Board is delighted to announce that as of Wednesday, August 19, 2020, patrons will be welcomed back safely to all Clearview Library Branches. Normal hours of operation will resume, with the exception of Tuesdays, when all branches will be closed for increased cleaning and sanitization measures. Curbside service will continue for those who wish to use it.
To comply with provincial safety regulations some significant changes have been made. We ask for your patience and cooperation with these changes as we reopen.
To facilitate physical distancing and capacity restrictions, substantial portions of public seating have been removed and patrons are being asked to restrict library visits to one hour per day. Similarly, public computer use is limited to half-an-hour per day. Printing will not be available at this time.
Increased cleaning protocols will be implemented, including:
- Returned materials will be quarantined for three days before being recirculated.
- Public computer mice and keyboards will be cleaned after every use.
- Public washrooms will be professionally cleaned every night, with high-touch surfaces being sanitized by Library staff throughout the day.
- Used materials are to be placed in the bins at the end of the aisles for collection and cleaning.
Before entering a library branch, all staff and patrons must complete a paper self-assessment form and deposit it into the provided collection bin. As mandated by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, masks are required to enter the facility. A warning system to prevent improper mask usage will be in effect and continued improper usage could result in a request to leave the building for the day.
Traffic throughout the building will be regulated by directional and physical distancing floor stickers as well as posters placed on aisle ends.
Keeping our libraries safe will require staff and patrons to work together, we look forward to welcoming you back safely on August 19th. For everything library related please visit www.clearview.library.on.ca.
