News Release - Clearview Follows SMDHU Recommendation Restricting Access to Recreation Facilities from Red & Grey Areas

Date Published:
December 3 2020

Following a recommendation from Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit’s (SMDHU) Medical Officer of Health, Clearview is temporarily restricting access to Township recreation facilities, public library branches and the administration centre to individuals whose primary residence lies within the Red/Control and Grey/Lockdown Areas. Clearview, as part of the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, is currently designated as an Orange/Restrict Area.

In a letter to municipalities last week, Dr. Charles Gardner strongly urged this action be taken to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus from higher transmission areas to lower transmission areas.

Clearview would like to thank everyone who has shown their sense of community throughout this pandemic. By respecting Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit’s recommendations, watching out for friends and neighbours and showing kindness and respect to others, our community will continue to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Announcements and updates on COVID-19 will continue to be communicated through the township website, www.clearview.ca and on Twitter, @Clearview_twp.
