Circulation Clerk - Job # 2025-024

Clearview Public Library (Stayner, Creemore and New Lowell Branches) is seeking a permanent part-time Circulation Clerk.

Key Accountabilities

Reporting to the Deputy CEO, this position is responsible for circulation and reference duties, assists patrons with reading advisory/reference queries and interlibrary loan requests, and may be requested to coordinate and deliver a variety of programs to all branches.

Skills and Experience

• Diploma in Library Techniques or suitable alternative preferred
• Minimum one to three years’ experience in a library
• Perform circulation duties and patron registration using ILS software
• Provide reader’s advisory service utilizing Library’s resources
• Develop and maintain in-branch displays
• Provide support to program delivery personnel
• Excellent and interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to collect payments and create records of same for auditing purposes
• Excellent attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and organizational skills
• Physical ability to lift, bend, stoop and crouch while relocating library materials and furniture 
• Current WHIMIS training

Hours of work: Varies but approximately 10-24 hours per week. The position includes evening and weekend shifts.

Salary: Salary range offered for this position is $24.57 per hour to $30.16 per hour.
