Recreation - Halls

While the community halls listed below are owned by Cleaview Township, they are run by dedicated volunteers from across the municipality.  Providing valuable programmes and services to the community, these volunteers ARE "the heart of Clearview".  To find out what's happening at the hall in your area, visit our community calendar.

Avening Community Centre [top]

Excellent for birthday parties, family functions concerts and more!  This hall features 2 bowling lanes with spectator seating on the ground floor.  On the main floor you will find a fully equipped kitchen with 2 stoves, 3 sinks, and 2 fridges.  A bar opens up onto a stage overlooking seating for 130 people.  Total hall capacity is 203.  Tables and chairs provided along with dishes, coffee urns, pots and pans.  Outside you will find a pig roast pit, picnic tables and backstop for your next summer BBQ.  Just bring your own food and fun!  Washrooms available on the ground floor.

Brentwood Community Centre [top]

This old school house, built in 1874, was converted into a hall to serve the community of Brentwood.  It is unique in the township in that it has lighted horseshoe pits in the backyard.  Combined with lots of green space, the pits help make it a perfect venue for large outdoor functions.  Inside, there is room for 88 people.  Tables, chair, washrooms and a stage are all featured inside this cute little hall.  The kitchen has been upgraded and provides occupants with all the amenities including a fridge, stove, sinks, microwave, dishes, coffee urns, and more.

The Creemore Community Centre and Arena has housed the Creemore Curling Club, arena and Community Hall since 1976.  The arena has 6 functional dressing rooms excellent for tournaments, complete with a referee dressing room and first aid station.  The community hall seats up to 200 people with kitchen facilities and washrooms.  The facility also boasts soccer fields and skate park.

This hall features a newly renovated kitchen with all your amenities. It has seating for moderate functions (up to 80 people) with tables and chairs.  Push these aside and you have a beautiful hardwood floor for dances, fitness classes, or the like.  Downstairs is a small room with washroom facilities ideal for meetings or workshops.  Nestled next to the Noisy River and Dunedin Park, this hall provides a unique backdrop for your next function.

Features:

Nottawa Memorial Community Centre has an old-fashion feel with its rustic tables and chairs, barn-like stage and hardwood floors.  Maximum capacity is 190 people.  Washroom facilities are on the main floor with 2 shuffleboard courts in the basement.  A fully equipped kitchen can also be found in the basement alongside a small room ideal for meetings or functions for up to 95 people.

Features:

Roughly equidistant to Stayner, Creemore and Collingwood, this facility, at over 8000 square feet, is the largest of its kind within the township, making it the ideal location for your next buck-and-doe, wedding, birthday party, anniversary celebration, Christmas gathering or family reunion.

The lower floor includes a modern kitchen with stoves, fridges, sinks, tableware and a spacious dining hall easily accommodating 100.  Adjacent to the dining hall is an enclosed 2-lane bowling alley with automatic pin-setting equipment

The upper floor contains a performing stage, a large dance floor with perimeter seating accommodating 200 people, and overlooking all, a well organized ticket stand and bar

Directly adjacent to the hall is Islay Park which has an outdoor playground, picnic areas and a playing field.

A multi-purpose activity centre featuring a heritage railway design and providing a community focal point, the Station on the Green is the newest landmark in historic Creemore. The Station on the Green is designed to accommodate a wide variety of activities and events - receptions for up to 225 people and sit-down dinners for up to 150. For smaller gatherings the facility can be divided into 3 separated sections, which can be rented separately or in combination.

The Stayner Community Centre and Arena is a multipurpose facility featuring a skatepark and fully equipped hall with washrooms, kitchen facilities and seating for up to 350 people in addition to a full sized rink.  Built in 1987, the hall also boasts 3 shuffleboard courts.  The rink has a referee dressing room and first aid station.  It has 5 functional dressing rooms, excellent for tournaments. From lacrosse, hockey and figure skating to dances, shuffleboard and fitness classes, the arena can accommodate a wide variety of functions all year round.

Features:
Conveniently situated between Wasaga Beach, Stayner, New Lowell and Edenvale at crossroads Hwy 26 and County Road 10, Sunnidale Corners is a great location for all your small to medium size functions.  It can accomodate up to 90 people upstairs where it has a bar, kitchenette, stage and hardwood floor.  A full kitchen and seating area for an additional 75 people can be found downstairs.  Currently, Euchre runs every Wednesday at 7:30pm.
