The Sign By-law requires that you obtain a “Sign Permit” under certain circumstances and for particular signage.
In some instances a “Building Permit” is required and you would make application to the building department. However the by-law was structured so that generally if you comply with the requirements of the by-law then you do not need to obtain a permit.
