The Olympic Torch Comes to Clearview Township

 December 29, 2009 - Mill Street, Creemore

12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Clearview Township has been chosen by the Vancouver Organizing Committee (VANOC) as one of the over 1100 Canadian Communities to host the Olympic Torch Relay along its 106 day, 45, 000 km Trans Canada route.  The flame will pass through Clearview, in Creemore, on December 29th, 2009.

Under the banner, events are being planned to showcase the activities residents of Clearview enjoy and participate in.  The intent is to encourage special events that promote interest in their own sport and in turn spark support for our Olympic athletes as they represent Canada at the Vancouver 2010 Winteer Olympics while promoting the Olympic ideal within the community.
