Tim Hortons announces their newest partner "South Georgian Bay Habitat for Humanity," serving Collingwood, Stayner and Wasaga Beach. This non-profit group works with volunteers from all backgrounds, races and religions to build homes together with families in need. Habitat houses are being built for 2 families in Stayner, located at the corner of Sutherland and Highway 192. Janet Trude, Owner stated, "Along with their much needed home, "Earn a Bike" through Tim Hortons provides the children from the 2 families with bikes, requiring each child to volunteer in their community for 20 hours in order to qualify. The Honourable Helena Guergis, MP for Simcoe-Grey, presents Clearview Township Council and Staff and members of the Stayner Lions Club with a $90,000 cheque to help pay for upgraes to the Stayner Pool. March 13Clearview Township Council Presents Barry Lavers with Designation Certificate 
At the Council Meeting on March 2nd, Clearview Township Council presented a certificate to Barry Lavers, Clearview's Parks and Recs Administratior. The certificate recnognized Barry's successful completion of the Ontario Recreation Racilities Association's Professional Designation Program. The Mayor and Deputy-Mayor congratulated Barry on his accomplishment. March 10
Stayner Collegiate Robotics Team Heading to Two Regional Competitions: 
Stayner Collegiate's Robotics Team, the 'Cyber Gnomes' will be heading to two competitions this month: a regional comptition at the University of Waterloo March 19th-21st as well as a regional competition at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga March 26th-28th. The Team consists of (L-R) Aaron Bourbonnais, Cody Specht, Daniel Correia, Shawn Ferguson, Max Hazelaar, Taylor Burkholder, Gray Bruer, Chris Wyant, Trevor Martin (seated), Andrew Bronee, Mr. Phillips, Mr. Limoges (seated), Sean Best. Missing are : Mrs. McLoed, Neil Nicholson, Sam Wilgress, Oscar Hazelaar, Kurt Niessl, Nicole Leroux, Sarah Johnson and Mike Heintzman.
March 04Clearview Public Library Outreach Project: 
These afghans will be used by the Fire Department in emergency situations to help keep the victims warm and cozy in a time of stress. If you have any yarn or wool that you would like to donate to this worthy cause, please drop it off at the Creemore, Stayner or Sunnidale branches of the Clearview Public Library. If you would like to knit or crochet emergency blankets, come on in to your favorite library branch to get some yarn and patterns to support this Out Reach Program. Please remember that the Clearview Fire Fighters are looking for all kinds of blankets and quilts - handmade or factory made - so think of them while you are spring-cleaning!
