All meetings of Council take place at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers of the Township's Administration Building located at 217 Gideon Street on the first, second and fourth Monday of each month. However, there is only one meeting held during the months of July and August. All upcoming meetings will appear on the 'Upcoming Events' calendar. Notice for special meetings will be posted throughout the year as scheduled by Council or Committee. - Can I request a birthday or anniversary congratulations from the Mayor?

Finance/Tax Department- How can I set up pre-authorized tax payments?
You can apply for pre-authorized payments by filling out and returning the form listed here along with a "voided" cheque. The account should be current. Pre-Authorized Tax Payments - When will I recieve my tax bill?
Your municipal tax bill will be mailed twice per year - once in the spring and once in the fall; property tax bills are normally mailed out at the end of February and the end of August of each year. each tax bill normally has two installment dates: intermin March and June; final September and November. As soon as dates are available, they will be posted here. For those properties with municipal water services, your water bills will be mailed by-monthly. For those properties with municipal sanitary sewer services, your water bills will include the sewer charges. - How do I change or update my mailing address?
In order to change or update your mailing address, we require the property owner to advise the tax department in writing of the change. The tax department will then forward the amended address to MPAC. Please either mail your change to Township of Clearview, 217 Gideon Street, PO Box 200, Stayner ON L0M 1S0 or e-mail Susette Sampson or Shelley Smit . Ownership title changes must be made through the Land Registry Office. - How can I appeal my property assessment?
You can contact the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) at (705) 728-3572 or 1-866-296-6722, www.mpac.on.ca to complete a Request for Reconsideration if you disagree with the property assessment notice recieved from MPAC. Township staff cannot change property assessments. - What is the assessment roll?
The assessment roll is a list of the properties in the Township and their valuations (assessments) provided to Clearview by MPAC. The assessment roll is a public document available for viewing at the Township Administration Office during regular business hours. The assessment roll includes the following information regarding properties: owners' names, mailing addresses, property descriptions ("legal" descriptions) and assessments. - How can I pay my property taxes?
Tax Payment Methods: i) in person by cash, cheque, or Interac at the Township Administration Office, 217 Gideon Street, Stayner (no credit cards accepted), ii) by mail to Township of Clearview, P.O. Box 200, 217 Gideon Street, Stayner ON L0M 1S0 (include tax stub), iii) at the drop box by cheque at the Township Administration Office, 217 Gideon Street, Stayner (include tax stub, do not put cash in drop box), iv) through your financial institution's Electronic Funds Transfer or web banking (check with them for details), and v) at local banks in Clearview and surrounding area (include tax stub, banks may charge a fee). Please note that all payments recieved for taxes are applied first to all penalties and interest and then to taxes.
