Property Assesment Notices

  

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) has mailed the property assessment notices as of Oct. 27, 2008 since all properties have been re-assessed for the 2009 taxation year. Please review the attached press releases for further information. Your Clearview Township staff cannot answer questions about your new assessed property values. Please contact MPAC through one of the methods outlined on your notice if you have questions.

 

 


 

 

Growth Management and Official Plan Review

 

The Township of Clearview is currently undergoing a Growth Management and Official Plan Review.  We are currently facing significant growth pressures and we need your input to determine a vision for our future!   

The first phase of the Official Plan Review is the development of a Growth Plan for Clearview.  The Township is preparing a new Official Plan to guide growth and development for the next 25 years.

Burn Permits

 

The Township requires anyone having an open-air fire to obtain a Fire Permit. A Fire Permit is free of charge and lasts for the entire calendar year regardless of the number of fires you have. Burn Permits are available at the Clearview Township Administration Office. The office is located at 217 Gideon Street in Stayner and the office hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 - 4:30 pm.

 




Dog Licencing...

Our 2009 dog tag rates are $22.00 for spayed or neutered and $28.00 for others. You are allowed 2 dogs at these rates, for any third or subsequent dogs the licence fee is doubled (Remember you are only allowed a maximum of 2 dogs in a residential area.) If you don’t licence your dog on or before the 31st March then the licence fee increases to $50.00 per dog.

Once a dog has attained the age of 12 weeks it is required to be licenced.

New dog: If you acquire a dog after the 31st March of the current year then your licence fee is pro-rated at the rate of $2.00 per month, a minimum fee of $10.00 applies.

All dogs must have valid rabies vaccination to be licenced. (See “Rabies Certificate” )
