CLEARVIEW – Clearview Council has appointed Stephen Sage as the new Chief Administrative Officer of the Township of Clearview. Mr. Sage will assume his new responsibilities on September 9, 2014.
“This is an important leadership role within the municipality and we are delighted to have attracted broad interest from top candidates across the country,” says Mayor Ken Ferguson. “Steve Sage was selected for his deep understanding of Clearview Township and his significant municipal sector experience and we look forward to him leading our organization.”
Mr. Sage will be just the third CAO in Clearview’s 20-year history and is assuming the role as the municipality enters its next chapter.
“Over the past 24 years I have dedicated my career and focused my efforts on implementing the direction and policies of Clearview Council. Participation as an executive member of numerous organizations across Ontario has provided me with vast insight as well as numerous provincial contacts,” explained Sage.
“While performing my duties, I have taken great pride in being responsive, consistent and professional. Review of service delivery has been a priority for me and it will continue to be a key focus.”
Council directed a professional and thorough search process lead by Mayor Ferguson and Deputy Mayor Savage with support from Organizational Consulting Limited. All of Council participated in the final selection.
“It was important to Council that we ensure our next CAO is the best possible fit as we move from an era of establishing the foundation of the municipality to implementation and action,” the Mayor noted. “Clearview is now well positioned to take advantage of economic, social and organizational opportunities as we look to the next decade.”
“I am very happy to be continuing my career at Clearview and I look forward to working with my colleagues to deliver on the priorities and achieving the vision that the Mayor and Council have set for Clearview,” said Sage.
